Windows Server Operating System Management Pack Extension

Hi All,

This Management Pack Was Updated. Here is Latest & Greatest one 😉

A while ago I created Management Pack which adds 5 additional tasks to Windows Server Operating System Class:

CustomTasks

As you can see all tasks that are in this management pack start with word “Custom” so we can distinguish them from other tasks.

Lets look what particular task does:

1.) “Custom Computer Diag”
This task makes few tests on selected server. Output of this task is:

Information of System (Name, OS, Model,..)
Memory info, Memory utilization, Displays top 3 RAM intensive processes
Processor info, Processor utilization, Displays top 3 CPU intensive processes
Disk Info, with performance data (if PS 4.0 runs on agent)
Network Info
Domain info and tests Secure Channel to Domain
Checks If WMI Service is Running and if WMI query returns value
Checks GPO Status
Displays Services with Startu Type Automatic and State Stopped

2.) “Custom Get AppSys Error Log”
This Task Returns Last 10 Application And System Log Errors on selected server

3.) “Custom PS Remote”
This is Console Task which Creates PSSession to Selected Server

4.) “Custom Show System Uptime”
This Tasks Returns System Uptime

5.) “Custom Test WMI”
This Task Checks WMI Service Status, Creates Simple WMI QUery and Displays WMI Settings

Management pack can be downloade from here.
